16th Annual Local History Roundtable
The 16th Annual Local History Roundtable will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. This year's theme Cultivating Connections: Strengthening Communities Through History and will include panels discussing the AIDS crisis in West Michigan and Grand Rapids Public Schools from the past to present. We will open the Roundtable at 1:00 p.m., followed by two panels, a dinner, and the keynote address. Our first panel, "Reflections on the AIDS Journey in West Michigan": Public Health and Community Care will run from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Our second panel, "Podcasts and Community Storytelling": Uncovering GRPS' History Together will run from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. This year’s keynote address from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. will be by Dr. Anna-Lisa Cox of Harvard University. You can register for the entire day or just the portions you will be able to attend.
