Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled student during Winter 2025
• CPR / First Aid Certified (provided if hired).
• Experience running branded social media accounts on platforms such as X/Twitter & Instagram are preferred.
• Experience producing short-form content on channels such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels are preferred.
• Basic graphic design experience and familiarity with Canva or Adobe Suite products are preferred.
• Ability to work well with others, as an individual and as part of a team.
• Attend trainings required to preform the job duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the @GVSUesports Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts.
• Manage the short-form content strategy for @GVSUesports on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
• Lead weekly meetings with the student media team.
• Communicate effectively with game leaders on weekly match schedules.
• Collaborate with the production team to cover and promote upcoming broadcasts/events.
• Attend all trainings, meetings and in-services. Complete all online trainings as assigned.
• Maintain a professional standard when working with all necessary stakeholders.
• Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe photoshop, Canva, or others are preferred, but not required.

Start Date: January 2025

Duration: This position will have fall and winter needs.

Hours: Part time, flexible hours up to 10 hours per week. Hours vary weekly based on needs.

Hourly Rate: $14.10

Location: GVSU RecWell Office
