Our Capital Markets Origination department includes the following groups:Debt Capital Markets (DCM)The Debt Capital Markets group is responsible for delivering the full spectrum of debt financing solutions and execution for the banks investment grade clients. DCM advises on structure, price, and strategy for primary market debt offerings, often part of broader multi-product pitches.Structured Finance Group (SFG)The Structured Finance Group is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of structured finance products including Term ABS, ABCP/ABL, and CLOs, among others. The team advises on structural execution alternatives and strategies, provides market and pricing updates to new and existing clients, and drives broader cross-sell opportunities for the Bank.High Yield Capital Markets (HYCM) The High Yield Capital Markets group is responsible for providing capital markets advisory for non-investment grade rated corporations and sponsor portfolio companies. The group advises on capital structure, new issue pricing, and syndication strategies for new debt offerings.

The three business groups attending are:Fund Finance Solutions Department ("FFSD")SMBC'S FFSD is a global leader in private equity fund financing, providing a number of leverage solutions to private equity funds investing across multiple asset classes. SMBC offers traditional Subscription Secured Financing as well as an expanded offering into Fund Level Derivatives, NAV Financing, and Hybrid Facilities to investment management firms globally. Credit Product Management (CPM)CPM was launched to establish a centralized 1LOD credit risk function. CPMs goal is to drive adherence to credit governance and regulatory expectations, advance alignment to industry best practices and support the optimization of capital deployment. CPM comprises of six centers of excellence, supporting SMBCs Coverage & Capital Markets and Structured Debt verticals: Enterprise Valuation, Quality Assurance, Credit Training, Credit Strategy & Change Management, Governance and Credit Lifecycle Control, and Credit Underwriting & Portfolio Management.Loan Capital Markets (LCM)The Loan Capital Markets Department is responsible for the structuring, underwriting, execution and distribution of syndicated loan transactions across all industry and origination groups at SMBC. LCM professionals work with and advise the front office marketing (origination) units in order to successfully pitch corporate and financial sponsor clients in a combined effort to win lead-mandates for syndicated loan facilities.
