Stay Informed About Workday System Updates and Maintenance

Workday is continuously evolving to serve the GVSU community better. To maintain and enhance its functionality, routine maintenance updates occur on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. During these periods, Workday will be temporarily unavailable.

Beyond these regular updates, Workday also introduces enhancements designed to improve functionality and the overall user experience. The first major update of the year, Workday 2025 Release 1, will occur in the early morning of Saturday, March 15.

Journal Entry Request Form Update

The Finance department has made improvements to help you navigate accounting changes more easily! A new question has been added to the Journal Entry Request form to guide you to the correct process for accounting changes. Based on your responses, you may be directed to a different process. Additionally, new reports are now available to track the progress of your journal entry requests.

In Workday, a Student Profile is a centralized record that organizes relevant information about a student. It provides a holistic view of the student’s academic, personal, and administrative information, providing simple management and access for students as well as GVSU faculty and staff.
